Hi, I'm Rachel

Background and Passion:
In the summer of 2016 I worked as a Boy Scout camp counselor in Oregon. I took along my first DSLR (canon rebel T6i) to document my journey. After sharing the photos I had taken that summer and all of the feedback I had received, I knew I had found a future in photography!

I began second shooting for other wedding photographers in the fall of 2017 and quickly began booking my own weddings! I pursued a Bachelor of Art in Photography at Grand Valley State University and graduated in April of 2020.  After four years of photography being my side hustle, I finally went full time with my business in 2021.

Beyond the Lens:
When I'm not behind the camera, you'll either find me cozied up reading a book, or out exploring the great outdoors. I have a special appreciation for hiking, always on the lookout for the perfect location to capture next. There's something calming to me about exploring the woods, listening to an audiobook while collecting rocks by the lakeshore, and finding beauty in the simplicity of nature.
